On December 2, the UAE celebrated its 53rd National Day, and over a million workers took part in the Eid Al Etihad festivities, which had as their theme “Our workers’ happiness in our union’s celebration.”

Today marked the beginning of the two-day celebrations for the workers, which will take place in different places around the country. A automobile is up for grabs in the raffle, which also features additional giveaways, prizes, contests, and entertainment performances.

In partnership with the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police General Command, UAE municipalities, National Ambulance, and Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone, the country’s celebrations for UAE National Day are planned.

Additionally, the UAEā€™s Wage Protection system (WPS), guarantees timely and full salary payments, while clear regulations are in place to address labour disputes. The contributions of the workforce are also celebrated through initiatives like the Emirates Labour Market Award, which honoured 48 outstanding workers in its second edition for their dedication and exceptional achievements. These initiatives highlight the UAEā€™s ongoing commitment to fostering a fair, dynamic, and competitive labour market.

The Ministry, in collaboration with its partners, is organising a series of celebratory events, complemented by a wide range of festivities being held within various labour accommodations across the region. These activities are being hosted by several companies, including Al Eskan Al Jamae, Labotel Workers Village, Emirates Global Aluminium, Fujairah National Construction & Transport Co, Tasameem Workers City, Al Salam Living City, Hameem Worker City, Khansaheb Contracting, Dulsco City, Al Jimi Worker Village, and Sawaeed Residential City.
