Snoop Dogg’s Family Returns to TV for Daughter Cori’s Wedding Journey
Snoop Dogg and his family are back on screens for a special celebration—his daughter Cori Broadus’s wedding.
Cori, the only daughter of the legendary rapper and his wife, Shante Broadus, is set to tie the knot with fiancé Wayne Duece in Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story. The three-part E! docu-series, streaming on Peacock starting Thursday at 11 p.m. ET, chronicles their pre-wedding festivities, preparations, and the challenges they face along the way.
Snoop Dogg, 53, and Shante Broadus, also 53, have been married since 1997 and share three children: Cori, 25, Corde, 30, and Cordell, 27. Snoop also has a 26-year-old son, Julian, from another relationship.
The series offers an inside look at Cori’s life as Snoop Dogg’s daughter, her entrepreneurial ventures, and the struggles she and Wayne have encountered, including public scrutiny of their relationship.
Snoop’s Fatherhood originally aired on E! for two seasons between 2007 and 2008, providing a heartwarming glimpse into the rapper’s family life. Now, the spotlight shifts to Cori in a deeply personal new series that captures the four months she and Wayne spent planning their wedding. The show delves into their journey, highlighting the challenges they faced, including relationship struggles and Cori’s health battle following a “severe” stroke in January.
At just 24 years old, Cori was hospitalized after suffering a stroke, an event she emotionally recounted on her Instagram story. From her hospital bed, she shared how she “started breaking down crying” when doctors informed her of the diagnosis. In a follow-up post, she expressed her frustration and pain, writing, “What did I do in my past to deserve all of this?”
The first episode of Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story offers a glimpse into Cori and Wayne’s lives and their close-knit circle as they navigate the challenges of planning a fast-paced wedding with the help of their families, planner, and bridesmaids. The series also highlights Cori and Wayne’s shared professional journey running their cosmetics brand, Choc Factory. Alongside these moments, Cori candidly discusses her ongoing battle with lupus, her struggle with depression, and the physical and emotional hurdles she continues to face.

In Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story, Cori Broadus offers an intimate glimpse into her wedding preparations. While grappling with the stress of a 700-person guest list and selecting a gown crafted by renowned designer Michael Costello, the show captures a deeply emotional moment where Cori shares feelings of insecurity about her wedding dress. This heartfelt scene highlights her vulnerability and authenticity throughout the series.
“I’m constantly wrestling with my own thoughts,” Cori shares. “It’s still surreal to me that Wayne got down on one knee, and sometimes I find myself wondering, ‘Why? Why do you love me this much? What is it that you see in me?’ Trying on the dress really brought those emotions back to the surface.”
Later in the episode, the couple unveils a themed save-the-date video for their wedding, which soon attracts negative comments online.
“Of course, the haters eventually show up,” Cori says. “‘He’s only with her because of her dad,’ or ‘He doesn’t really want to be with her, he’s just in it for this or that.’ It’s like, damn, can I catch a break?”
Cori and Wayne, who began dating in 2018, got engaged in November 2022. While their bond remains strong, the couple has yet to tie the knot.
