Donald Trump Honored with Fox Nation’s “Patriot of the Year” Award at Patriot Awards

Fox Nation named President-elect Donald Trump the “Patriot of the Year” during the 2024 Fox Nation Patriot Awards ceremony, held Thursday night in Long Island, New York.

The awards, established by the network in 2019, aim to “honor and recognize Americaā€™s finest patriots, including military veterans, first responders, and other inspirational everyday heroes,” according to Fox.

At 78, Trump continued his post-election celebration at the event, highlighting his victories in both the electoral and popular votes. He also spoke about his strong ties with some individuals at Fox, saying, “You have incredible people at Fox.”

The appearance coincides with Trump preparing his incoming administration, with announcements on Thursday of David Sacks as the “AI and crypto czar” and former U.S. Senator David Perdue as ambassador to China.

Originally set to be hosted by the scandal-plagued Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, the event was instead emceed by Sean Hannity after Hegseth left the network to accept his nomination.

Other awards presented on Thursday included the Culture Warrior Award and the T2T Stephen Siller Back the Blue Award.

There was no “Patriot of the Year” category in 2023. Last year’s honorees included Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, founders of the far-right education advocacy group Moms for Liberty, and bestselling crime novelist James Patterson.

Trump shared in a Truth Social post on Monday that he would be attending the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Saturday.
