Jennifer Lopez’s highly anticipated remake of Kiss of the Spider Woman will premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

The Sundance Institute revealed its full lineup on Wednesday, which includes projects from Lopez, Benedict Cumberbatch, A$AP Rocky, Olivia Colman, and many others, all set to be showcased at the festival in Park City, Utah.

The Kiss of the Spider Woman remake is produced by Lopez’s ex-husband Ben Affleck, alongside Matt Damon and others. The film is based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig and was first adapted into a movie in 1985, starring William Hurt, Raul Julia, and Sonia Braga. Hurt won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role. The story was also turned into a Tony-winning Broadway musical in 1993.

In this new version, Lopez stars alongside Diego Luna. The plot follows a political prisoner who forms an unexpected bond with his cellmate, who tells him the story of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite diva, Ingrid Lunaā€”played by Lopez.
