Amazon’s “Thank My Driver” feature is back: Here’s how you can give a $5 tip for free after your delivery.

Although Thanksgiving has passed, the season of giving continues.

Amazon is offering customers a way to show appreciation for delivery drivers this holiday season at no extra cost. With the return of the “Thank My Driver” feature, Amazon Alexa users can simply say, “Alexa, thank my driver,” to send a $5 tip to the delivery driver, free of charge to the customer.

The promotion is limited to the first 2 million thank-yous since its launch on December 4, according to an Amazon press release, which will amount to approximately $10 million in tips across the company.

Originally launched during the 2022 holiday season, the feature has since been used 40 million times, the release added.

How to Use the Amazon Thank My Driver Feature
All U.S. customers can take part by saying, “Alexa, thank my driver,” through any Alexa-enabled device, such as an Echo or Echo Show. Customers who don’t have an Alexa device can also use the Alexa app or their Amazon account.

Which Drivers Can Be Tipped Through the Thank My Driver Feature?
The “Thank My Driver” program is available to Amazon drivers in the U.S., including Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Delivery Associates (DAs), Amazon Flex delivery partners, and Hub Delivery Associates.
